CiT – Scientific Computing in Technology
CiT was founded in 1992 to bring mathematical precision to the modeling of polymerization and chemical processes. The first version of PREDICI© was delivered in 1993 from a small office near Oldenburg in Northern Germany. Since then, CiT’s software has been used by over 100 academic and industrial organizations worldwide — from long-term users to project-based collaborations. Today, we continue to provide advanced tools for simulation, parameter estimation, and process modeling from our base in Northern Germany.
Dr. Michael Wulkow
CEO & Founder
… studied mathematics and physics in Münster, Germany, with a focus on numerical analysis, optimization, and the simulation of technological processes. From 1987 to 1992, he was a researcher at the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB), where he developed advanced numerical methods for modeling polymer reaction kinetics — also the subject of his PhD in 1990.
He has led and contributed to projects in chemical engineering, physical modeling, and biological systems, and has lectured internationally at companies, universities, and technical workshops. Dr. Wulkow founded CiT in 1992 and continues to shape its development and vision.
Dr. Regina Telgmann
CEO & Founder
… studied mathematics and physics in Münster, Germany, specializing in numerical analysis, optimization, and the control of technological processes. From 1987 to 1992, she worked as a software engineer in process engineering for utilities such as energy and water.
At CiT, she focuses on parameter estimation, software architecture, and interface design — translating mathematical ideas into robust, modular tools. She joined Michael Wulkow in managing CiT and continues to shape its technical development. Her PhD, completed in 2007, explored model discrimination and pharmacokinetic modeling, reflecting her interest in structured, reusable models across disciplines.
